Claire’s Anniversary

Today, August 19, 2025, is the 10th anniversary of my owning Cavender Creek Vineyards & Winery. So I thought I’d commemorate the occasion by starting a blog. I’ve wanted to write a blog for some time now and today just seemed like the right time to make it happen.

Today is a day of remembrance of all that has transpired in 10 years. All I know about grape growing and winemaking I’ve learned in the past decade. I’ve met countless people and made so many friends. There have been good times and some not so good times. I’ve made mistakes but mostly I’ve done well. That’s because I’ve done business by the oldest mandate I know: the Golden Rule. From the day I took ownership of this winery, I treated my guests like I wanted to be treated.

I created a warm and welcoming vibe where people could gather, drink wine, and catch up on all the news. Later, I remodeled the tasting room with upholstered furniture so that my guests could sit in comfort while my awesome team delivered outstanding customer service. Over the years, my winemakers made delicious wines that everyone enjoyed drinking. One of the best decisions I’ve made was to promote Tucker from Vineyard Dog to Tasting Room Dog.

On a busy day in the tasting room, I look out and watch my guests talking, laughing, and visiting with friends. My heart swells when I think that I and my staff have created such a wonderful place for you to relax and unwind. My vision was that you would feel like a guest in my home. I hope we’ve made you feel loved and that you have an unforgettable experience here.

To those people who visit often or are regulars in my tasting room, thank you for your support for the past 10 years. To new friends I have yet to meet, I can’t wait for you to come for a visit so that you can see for yourself why we are everyone’s favorite winery.
